The Highlighter was developed by Vision Critical to test reactions to printed pages, from advertisements and pamphlets, to magazine covers and websites. The Highlighter allows respondents to use their computer to shade the areas of a printed page that caught their attention or created confusion. They are then asked to explain their selection in an open-ended question.
The Highlighter’s reporting tool is a heat map that shows which areas of the printed page were selected most often. These images can be reviewed by any variable contained in the survey for added analytical value.
